In conjuction with the 16th district of the Chicago Police Department, the community of Forest Glen is active in the CAPS (Chicago Alternative Policing Strategy) Program that works directly with residents throughoout the city to help keep everyone safe and comfortable in their homes. Forest Glen is beat 1621. Beat meetings are held the first Monday of the month at the Edgebrook Golf Course Clubhouse. When it shows, the odd numbered side of the street will be plowes first, and the even numbered side of street will be plwed second. The snow plow crew will sound their horns during the course of their passes to let residents know they have to move their cars to one side of the street or the other.
